Health is one of the main aspects of societal progress and prosperity. Better health is central to human happiness and well-being. It also makes an important contribution to economic progress, as healthy populations live longer, are more productive, and save more.

Many factors influence health status and a country’s ability to provide quality health services for its people. It is obvious that the government is responsible for giving health facilities to its citizens. Unfortunately, the lower class in Pakistan is deprived of even the basics of these rights. This makes the role of NGOs very important at both the local and national levels.

Kher-Kun has taken the initiative to provide health related services to the most needy and helpless of communities with help of donor funding. Through our wide spread and robust network, we provide physicians, medication and miscellaneous related services at the earliest possible time.

Our Projects
Student Leaders in Public Health in Pakistan
The project “Student Leaders in Public Health in Pakistan” is designed to combat the worsening situation of existing and emerging public health issues like COVID-19 in Pakistan.
The long-term goals of this project are to empower Pakistani students to be future leaders in public health, to engage well trained public health professionals (Pakistani Fulbright alumni, Current Fulbright Students, and foreign citizen students), and to build a strong and positive collaboration between Pakistani and foreign students.
The first project was conducted with the collaboration of the Pak-US Alumni Network, US Mission Pakistan, and Kher-Kun organization. We mentored around 40 students from multiple public universities of Pakistan, and those trained students further engaged over 2200 students to create a compelling public health about COVID-19 and other emerging health issues.
Now, we are working with different international organizations to conduct SLPH project annually with broader scope and impact. We plan to engage more and more students from diverse backgrounds and empower them in Public Health so they could be an agent of change in their local communities. Kher-Kun Virtual Blood Bank (KVBB)
Our vision for the Kher-Kun virtual blood bank (KVBB) is to establish a highly accessible and sustainable national-level blood donation platform to meet the ever-increasing blood needs and standardize blood safety requirements.
The mission of the Kher-Kun virtual blood bank (KVBB) is to develop and maintain Pakistan’s largest network of highly educated and professional volunteers to serve humanity in all areas concerning blood donation and disease screening.
